What should we wear?

When preparing for your studio session, opt for neutral colors and minimal patterns to create a timeless and visually harmonious aesthetic. Solid tones in soft hues, such as creams, grays, or pastels, not only exude a classic elegance but also ensure that the focus remains on your newest family member.

When should we schedule?

Timing is crucial when it comes to newborn photography. The ideal window is within the first two weeks of life when babies are still in that sleepy, curly pose, making it easier to capture those adorable shots. Scheduling your session during this period ensures the flexibility needed for various poses and allows us to capture the true essence of your newborn.

How long will it take?

It's important to note that the duration of photo sessions varies depending on the type. Newborn sessions, for example, can extend up to three hours, allowing ample time for calming, feeding, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Considering the delicate nature of newborns, this extended timeframe ensures a relaxed atmosphere for both baby and parents. Milestone sessions, tailored to capture those special developmental moments, typically run between 30 to 60 minutes. Given babies' shorter attention spans during this stage, this timeframe allows for a focused yet comfortable session. Family sessions, on the other hand, generally last up to an hour, but sometimes we efficiently capture all we need in less time. It's worth noting that, as with any session involving young children and tiny humans, predicting and controlling the timeline can be a bit like herding cats – always an adventure!

Can I have raw/original files?

Raw images are not available for purchase. Your viewing gallery images will be soft-proofed. If you prefer to have your images as they are in your gallery, that is okay. We can discuss the level of retouching you prefer.

Do you charge for rescheduling?

We do not charge to reschedule a newborn, but a heads-up as early as possible is greatly appreciated. Newborn session dates are flexible to accommodate the unpredictable arrival of your little one. Whether your baby arrives fashionably early or fashionably late, there's no extra charge, and we assure you that pre-booked newborn sessions will be captured within the 14 days or younger timeframe. Our goal is to keep things stress-free and ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

Do you retouch baby acne?

Certainly! We can address baby acne and flaky skin through retouching, and it's a standard part of our service. Basic retouching, such as addressing baby acne, is covered within the regular package. However, if you require more extensive retouching like dealing with clothing wrinkles or requesting head swaps, these atypical requests may incur additional charges. As a rule of thumb, small imperfections that would normally be gone in two weeks will be retouched. Again, extensive retouching may incur additional charges.
